Talisman

The talisman of the element your chart needs.

A Korean talisman (부적, bujeok) is written in red on yellow paper. We compute your chart, pick the one element your eight characters need most, and make that element's talisman — its character, its heavenly stems and earthly branches, your day pillar and the seal 命. A two-page printable PDF (talisman + explanation) to keep in a wallet or on a desk. It is a traditional object for intention, not a promise of results.

It is included in the lifetime reading. See the lifetime reading →

Calculation options (where schools differ), or set the time zone and longitude by hand

Time zone Longitude (east +, west −)

Small town not in the list? Pick the nearest larger town — a few miles changes the chart by well under a minute. These two fields are filled from the city you pick; change them only if you know what you are doing.

Adjust to true solar time (uses the birthplace longitude) Keep daylight-saving time (the practice of many Korean almanacs) Count births after 11 pm as the next day

Defaults are the astronomically exact choices. If you were born during daylight-saving time the two results can differ; when they do, both are shown below.
